PlugPing is a simple app designed to remind Tesla owners when they forget to plug in their vehicle at home. It checks your Tesla's charging status and location on-demand and alerts you if your car is home but not plugged in.

No. PlugPing is an independent third-party application. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Tesla, Inc. in any way. Tesla is a registered trademark of Tesla, Inc.
PlugPing will request only the minimum permissions needed:
- Vehicle device data - to check battery level and charging status
- Vehicle location - to determine if your car is at your saved home location
We explicitly do not request permissions to unlock, start, or remotely control your vehicle.
Yes. Security and privacy are our top priorities:
- Your Tesla authentication tokens are stored securely on our servers, never in the app on your device
- We don't continuously track your location
- We only check your vehicle status when you explicitly request it
- Our infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare
No. PlugPing cannot and will never be able to:
- Unlock or lock your vehicle
- Start your vehicle
- Control charging (start, stop, or adjust)
- Open doors, trunk, or frunk
- Control climate or any other vehicle functions
We only have read-only access to battery, charging status, and location—nothing more.
PlugPing will work with any Tesla vehicle that is compatible with the Tesla Fleet API, which includes Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and Cybertruck.
