How PlugPing Works
A simple, privacy-respecting way to make sure your Tesla is always charged and ready.

Connect Your Tesla Account
When PlugPing launches, you'll sign in with your Tesla account using Tesla's official authentication. We request only the minimum permissions needed:
- Vehicle data (battery level, charging state)
- Vehicle location (to check if you're home)
We explicitly do not request permissions to unlock, start, or control your vehicle in any way.

Set Your Home Location
Tell PlugPing where home is. This is the only location we care about—we check if your car is there when you ask us to.

Check Your Status On-Demand
When you want to know if you forgot to plug in, open PlugPing and check. We'll tell you:
- Your current battery percentage
- Whether your Tesla is plugged in and charging
- Whether your Tesla is at your saved home location

Get Reminded
If your Tesla is home and not plugged in, PlugPing lets you know. No more waking up to a low battery because you forgot to plug in the night before.
Privacy by Design
We built PlugPing with your privacy in mind from day one.
Secure Infrastructure
Your Tesla authentication tokens are stored securely server-side, never in the app on your device.
On-Demand Checks
We don't continuously track your location. We only check when you explicitly ask us to.
